13 Arena Songs Heard ‘Round the World

13 Arena Songs Heard ‘Round the World

With ticket in hand (perhaps an adult beverage, as well) and team pride in your heart, there’s truly nothing like thousands of fans singing, stomping and chanting to “We Will Rock You” together with the same vigor and hope for what the next few hours will bring. The electricity of competition is almost enough to get you down on the field to join in the game yourself - almost.

But, really, the one thing that all sporting arenas have in common –the overwhelming urge to warn the visiting team of the challenge they’re in for. That’s where the arena anthems come into play. From the moment players walk onto the field of play to the winning goal, music is key to amp up, not only the players, but the fans (hey, we know sometimes it’s nice to get a little boost to help you keep up all that good-natured smack-talking you participate in up in the stands).

So, no matter if it’s an amateur or professional game, American football or rugby, hockey or cricket – you’re sure to have heard a few of these iconic sing-along stadium favorites. Add these to your HEOS to play during your own game day parties.

1. “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” by Bachman Turner Overdrive

No one ain’t seen nothing until they’ve seen your team pull out that hidden play – it’ll happen this season….and it will be epic.

2. “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes

If there’s another song that can get an entire stadium of people stomping their feet in unison better than this song, we haven’t found it yet.

3. “Enter Sandman” by Metallica

Have you ever played the first minute of this song’s instrumental intro on repeat to get you pumped? If not, do it. It works.

4. “Song 2” by Blur

Wa-hooo. Anything with a one word-focused chorus and a quick guitar pace is guaranteed to have at least half of every arena on its feet.

 5. “No More Mr. Nice Guy” by Alice Cooper

Game’s on the wire. Gloves are coming off. No More Mr. Nice Guy.

6. “Another One Bites the Dust” by Queen

But, you can be sure it’s not your team. Playoffs, here we come!

7. “Jump Around” by House of Pain

This song literally speaks for itself: “Pack it up, pack it in, Let me begin, I came to win.” What else is there left to say except, “I came to get down?”

8. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”

Smack-talking in song form – always a favorite.

9. “Unbelievable” by EMF

Ooooohh – did you see that play? Unbelievable? That’s right. We’ll let this song serenade you with truth as we watch that replay four more times on the big screen.

 10. “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses

The first 15 seconds of this song make you feel like you are qualified to be running out of a professional locker room. Don’t let it go too much to your head.

11. “This is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan

The perfect tune to blast through the speakers just right after your team pulls ahead – because, opponents take note, this is clearly how “IT” is done.

12. “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC

From the first beats of this classic, you know it’s time for business – settle down onto the bleachers and get ready. Your team is, of course, on its way “To the Promise Land” and you’ll be right there with them.

13. “We are the Champions” by Queen

Yes, Queen makes the list twice – they have this anthem song game down. Get ready to throw your arms around your buddies and sway back and forth to this soulful stadium song –your team has won the big game and this moment WILL be the highlight of your year (if not life).
